Good morning, caregivers! π
It’s Wednesday, and today I want to slow down for a minute and celebrate the person you care for.
Not the to-do list. Not the appointments or the medication schedule or the forms. The person.
Think about their laugh β the real one, the one that catches you off guard and makes you laugh too. Think about the story they’ve told you a hundred times, the one you could recite word for word and still love hearing. Think about the way they light up when a certain song comes on, or when a furry friend walks into the room and heads straight for them.
Those are the things that make them who they are. They are more than a diagnosis. They are more than a chart, a condition, a set of needs.
So today, take a moment to notice one of those bright spots. Maybe even tell them about it β say the thing out loud. “I love the way you laugh at that.” “I could listen to that story every day.” Small words like that land in a deep place.
What makes your loved one shine? I’d love to hear it. Drop it in the comments, or just hold it close today.
You’re doing meaningful work, and you’re not doing it alone. π
